Jim Casart | Tax ADVISOR

Jim Casart started his career at Arthur Andersen’s Houston office.  While working in the tax division at Arthur Anderson for eight years, he gained expertise in oil and gas taxation, estate and trusts, and internal tax planning. 

Mr. Casart joined Karsh & Co. in 1991. Jim has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and has a passion for helping business owners succeed.   He has extensive experience with: SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) companies and helping them achieve the best tax results by taking advantage of Research & Development Credits, Oil and gas taxation, Inbound and outbound international tax structuring, Mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Casart has assisted over a hundred clients in acquiring or selling businesses in a wide variety of industries.

He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). Mr. Casart holds a Master’s degree in Accounting, and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Political Science, Economics and Management Science from Rice University.

Grady Cope | Industry advisor for digital manufacturing

Grady Cope’s career experience began working offshore for Halliburton Services as a diesel mechanic which started him on the path to becoming an engineer working for the Gates Corporation and his introduction to manufacturing.  He founded Reata Engineering & Machine Works, Inc. 27 years ago.  

Reata provides advanced manufacturing CNC machining, assembly, and engineering services to the medical, aerospace, and semiconductor industries.  Reata is a high mix, low volume job shop that specializes in complex parts and assemblies.  The company focus is on using advanced precision CNC machines with multi-axis and lights out capability, while using digital manufacturing tools on the front end to reduce customer lead time. 

Grady is involved in the local and national manufacturing community.  He is a Past Chairman of both the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) and the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Association (CAMA).  He is passionate about filling the skilled labor gap in manufacturing which inspires him to work with local high schools and colleges.  He is a current board member of the National Institute of Metal Working Skills (NIMS).

Grady graduated with a certificate from the Denver Automotive & Diesel College and a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver. 

 

ERIC STOLBERG | COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE ADVISOR

Eric Stolberg is President/CEO of WS Property Group and has been active in commercial real estate development throughout Indiana since 1975.​

His developments include retail, office and build-to-suit/lease back projects. As President of WSPG, he is involved in Asset Management and Commercial Leasing for third parties.​

Eric has recently expanded into the healthcare industry and has developed several senior care communities as well as a successful partnership with its operating company Bloomington-based CarDon & Associates. ​

Eric was instrumental in the financing and development of senior care campuses located in Plainfield and Westfield, Indiana. The senior care campuses include assisted living, memory support, rehabilitation centers and skilled nursing care. Future expansion of campuses will include independent living apartments and single story cottages.​

Eric is past chairman of the board of the Bloomington Economic Development 
Corporation and is actively involved in lobbying activities at both the state and federal level on behalf of funding of higher education in the State of Indiana. He is a member of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, the Bloomington Downtown Commission, Indiana University Varsity Club I-Association, Indiana University Athletic Donor and is a recent recipient of the prestigious Clevenger Award presented by Indiana University. He serves on several community advisory boards in the Bloomington community.​

Eric received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University Bloomington. He was a member of the 1967 Big Ten Co-Championship football team as well as Indiana University’s 1968 Rose Bowl team.​
